*Social Media Management

In 2021, I joined the Duke University Communications department as the social media manager.

My role is to implement Duke’s social media strategy, which includes writing copy, creating content, social media monitoring and engaging with audiences. Additionally, I managed a group of 30 students who run the @DukeStudents social media accounts. These accounts are run by Duke students for their peers, prospective students and alumni. This group also helps produce content for the flagship Duke University accounts. I also host ongoing trainings and workshops for campus communicators.

In my time managing the platforms, I helped:

  • Generated 57 million impressions and 2.8 million forms of engagement.

  • Grow the accounts by 88,000 followers.

Other posts and projects that I’m really proud of include, revamping Duke’s Reel strategy, launching Duke’s TikTok channel and leading the social strategy for the Duke Climate Commitment.
